Our Products
High-performance corrosion testing equipment designed for hydrogen embrittlement, sour service, and fracture mechanics testing in harsh environments.
Hydrogen Induced Cracking Test Tanks
Cortest offers Hydrogen Induced Cracking (HIC) test tank designs that can be used to study the corrosive and embrittling effects on metal samples in hydrogen enriched aqueous environments such as those in H2S/Sour Service Applications.
HIC tanks are suitable for samples specified in NACE TM0284 as well as 3 and 4 Point Bend Fixtures specified in both NACE TM0177 and ASTM G39. Rectangular and Cylindrical models can be designed to accommodate any desired volume.
CERT/SSRT Load Frames
Cortest Load Frames are Test Equipment designed for Slow Strain Rate Testing (SSRT), Constant Extension Rate Testing (CERT), Corrosion Fatigue Testing (CF), and other custom applications requiring mechanical loading. These systems use pull-through rod systems that allow them to use Autoclaves, Tempressure Vessels, or Ambient Condition Test Chambers to simulate corrosive field conditions in High Temperature High Pressure (HPHT) environments.
DCPD & Fatigue Testing
DCPD Equipment is an addition integrated into our Load Frame Systems. Electrically isolated fixturing isolates test specimens to prevent interference in measurements while the wires are passed through isolated fittings that maintain high pressure, high temperature seals. The drive system is capable of performing cyclic testing at extension rates up to 3.5 mm/sec and fatigue frequencies. Each testing system has a built-in data acquisition system with an intuitive setup interface to easily prepare and monitor any test.
Ambient Condition Environmental Chambers
Cortest Ambient Condition Environmental Chambers include a variety of pull through vessels as well as glass electrochemistry cells. The pull through vessels are commonly used in Proof Ring Test Systems, Deadweight Systems, CERT/SSRT, and Corrosion Fatigue Load Frames. The electrochemistry test cells are typically used for various standalone laboratory tests.
Proof Rings
The Proof Ring test system is the most widely used equipment for evaluating sulfide stress cracking and stress corrosion cracking behaviors of materials. The compact size, accuracy, and ease of use provides an economical means for testing multiple specimens simultaneously in a fume hood. Cortest Proof Rings were our original product in 1977 – they meet the testing requirements of NACE TM 0177 test method which is used to determine materials that meet the NACE material requirement of MR 0175.
